Located in the heart of Melbourne, on Flinders Lane. Dukes is a bustling hub for coffee fanatics on the hunt for the perfect pre-work latte. 005 - Seven Seeds

Mark Dundon sold St.Ali in 2008 (yep that's right the mastermind of St.Ali) and moved to Carlton where he opened up this amazing roaster and cafe with his business partner Bridget Amor. The pair turned an old warehouse into a cafe brimming with personality.

Seven Seeds is busy everyday and brimming with energy and positive vibes. It's probably because the coffee is so damn good. Melbourne University is only a stones throw away so the spot is visited regularly by students.

006 - Plug Nickel

Plug Nickel arrived in Collingwood in 2016 amidst heavy competition from the surrounding world class cafe's. The barista's at Plug Nickel are world class and so is their machinery, they use a Sanremo Opera, a machine designed by world champion baristas.

The machine is packed with tech to ensure that every pour is perfection. It also helps that one of the owners - Sasa Sestic - is a former world champion Barista. The team at Plug Nickel also serve batch brew & cold brew if you aren't feeling the warm espresso vibes.

007 - Market Lane Coffee

If you are on the hunt for an open market vibe then this is the cafe for you. Located in the Prahran Markets this is a roaster and cafe that goes hand in hand with a great day buying groceries at one of Melbourne's favourite markets.

Owner Fleur Studd wants customers to walk away feeling happy and educated. Along with roaster Jason Scheltus the duo put a lot of emphasis on educating their customers about the coffee they are drinking.

If you can't make it to Prahran, no worries! Market Lane coffee also has two other locations; a cafe on Collins street & Victoria street.

008 - Proud Mary

The moment you walk into Proud Mary's on the backstreets of Collingwood you cannot help but feel the love for coffee. Owner Nolan Hirte takes pride in the appearance of the cafe & obviously the quality of the brews that emerge from the massive coffee machine that dominates the L-shaped counter.

Proud Mary's offer several of their own blends which can be enjoyed via cold drip, V60, AeroPress and espresso. If you are stuck in Collingwood then this is definitely a great spot to wait for public transport.

009 - Omar & The Marvellous Coffee Bird

Well the name alone is reason to go!

'This cafe and roaster’s name is based on a Yemeni legend: a sheik named Omar was bordering on starvation after being exiled. As he trailed through the desert, he noticed a bird chomping on coffee beans. After failing to ingest the beans, Omar decided to boil them. He discovered a revitalising brown concoction, similar to what we know now as coffee.' - Quoted from Broadsheet

The name and back story suggests a strong personality to this cafe & that is exactly what you get. An amazing team with some incredibly delicious cups of coffee. This cafe is also a great spot for the early birds with 6am starts during the week.

Patricia is a quaint little cafe in the heart of Melbourne's bustling CBD. Situated among the towering corporate offices this tiny cafe get's plenty of foot traffic especially with the coffee being this good.

Combining some traditional European style with the contemporary and modern Melbourne coffee feel. This is not the spot to go if you are expecting a seat and some brunch but for those in a rush that need a caffeine fix then this is the perfect little spot.
