001 - Hanoi & Northern Vietnam

Why?
Hanoi is the ancient capital of Vietnam & offers you a unique experience that you will struggle to find anywhere else in South East Asia. The Old Quarter is the best spot to base yourself as you explore the surrounding areas.

There is plenty to see, do, taste & feel in Hanoi. From Pho & Cheap beer to Egg coffee & lakeside Pagoda's. The areas close by to Hanoi are the real draw card, destinations like Halong Bay, Ninh Binh Province & Sapa.

Where?
If you are basing yourself in Hanoi then we highly recommend finding a base of operations in the Old Quarter region. This is where all the action is & a great spot to meet other travelers. We recommend you stay at the Old Quarter Hostel, they were amazing.

Top 3 Must Do's?
- Halong Bay
- Ninh Binh Province
- Sapa

Daily Spend?
Your average daily spend in Vietnam will be between $36-$100. This amount will vary depending on what adventures you choose & how comfortable you want to be. If you really wanted to you could probably get away with $10 a day but that won't get you much.

002 - Komodo Islands, Indonesia

Why?
Named one of the new '7 wonders of nature,' The Komodo Islands of Indonesia will not only leave your piggy bank intact it will also blow your mind! Before you book your tickets though just remember one thing - this is the home of the Komodo Dragon.

Komodo dragons are 3 metre long lizards that spit, fight & bite so if adventure is not high on your agenda then maybe consider a trip to one of Indonesia's resort islands instead (like Bali). The Komodo islands offers more than just Komodo dragons.

The island is also home to some of the best scuba diving/snorkeling in Indonesia and without the insane crowds or plastic pollution. The island is also home to some incredible hikes that will leave your jaw on the floor.

Where?
The town of Labuan Bajo is one of the smallest towns you will visit along your Indonesian travels. With most of the buildings being dive shops or hostels/hotels with the addition of a few nice restaurants.

You have your pick of where to stay but our vote goes with Dragon Dive Komodo hostel.

003 - Sri Lanka

Why?
If you follow any travel influencer's on Instagram then chances are you have come across some stunning shots of the Sri Lankan countryside. Sri Lanka has exploded as a travel destination in 2018 and for good reason.

The country only emerged from a 26 year civil war in 2009 which ruined the countries economy & left it's population in turmoil. However Sri Lanka has bounced back with tourism now leading the charge.

Sri Lanka is a great destination for those who want to explore and are happy to go slow. Transport is improving but it is still not quite there. Once you see the incredible scenery cram packed into this tiny country you will not be bothered with slow journeys any longer.

Where?
Sri Lanka is obviously quite a large area with multiple towns & cities all providing an abundance of accommodation options. Check out the Fig & Gecko located in Anuradhapura.
